How to play “A Thousand Years” By : Christina Perri on guitar?

Preparation :

1.      Guitar

2.      Cut yourleft hand nails

How to play? : 

*1st couplet*

1.      Put the guitar at your lap, the  left hand take the stem of guitar,and the right hand play on guitar’s body
2.      Take the G on C chord, and in your right hand, the thumb play at fiveth string, the index play on third string, the middle finger play on second string, and your annular finger (Ring finger) on the first sting
3.      The middle finger take of from the string and the index go up one string
4.      In the right hand, the thumb go up one string and play in sixth string
5.      In the left hand, the index go up one string, after that the middle press the string beside the index
6.      Do this in 2 time

1.      Take the Am chord

2.      After that Em chord

3.      And D major chord

Ingatan Kecil tentang "PARE"

Karena tidak bisa tidur, saya berbincang dengan kakek saya bercerita tentang sekolah dan kegiatan lainnya yang saya jalani sehari-hari. Dan saya pun ingat bahwa saya akan mengikuti kegiatan memperdalam bahasa inggris selama kurang lebih satu bulan, dan kami berdua menemukan topik yang sangat menarik untuk dibicarakan, sungguh sangat tidak saya sangka bahwa ternyata tempat yang akan saya kunjungi nanti merupakan tempat masa kecil kakek saya.
Sekitar tahun 1957-1958 sekitar umur 7-8 tahun saat ia sedang mengenyam pendidikan ditingkat kelas 1-2 sekolah dasar kakek saya tinggal di Pare, tepatnya didesa Darungan, Pare, Kediri, yang bersebrangan dengan desa Bendo yang saat itu terkenal dengan Sekolah Rakyat Bendo dan pesantren Bendonya. Dari yang ia ceritakan, Pare merupakan kota kecil didaerah kabupaten Kediri, daerah ini dilewati rel kereta api jurusan Pare-Kediri dan sebuah sungai yang bernama "Sungai Berantas" yang mengaliri air dari Pare dan berakhir di Surabaya. Daerah Pare dulunya dikenal sebagai salah satu daerah penghasil gula merah (gula batok) di Indonesia, tidak jauh dari pabrik gula merah ini terdapat sebuah jalan desa yang terbentuk dari pasir hasil penumpukkan lahar dingin dari gunung sekitar, menariknya jalan ini sering dilalui oleh cikar yaitu gerobak yang ditarik oleh dua lembu (sapi) yang dijadikan sebagai alat angkut hasil bumi dari dari desa Darungan menuju kota.

Inilah gambaran Pare saat itu, ingatan dari seorang kakek akan masa kecilnya :D
